Our Story
NIANA was founded by an architect with a lifelong passion for fashion design. Trained to see the world through proportion, balance, and structure, the founder approached footwear the same way one approaches architecture: with deep attention to line, shape, stitching, and longevity. Every shoe is designed through an architectural eye.
Our philosophy is simple: timeless design meant to last forever. We believe shoes should transcend trends, seasons, and time. NIANA pieces are meant to be worn for years, becoming part of your everyday life rather than replaced by the next new thing.
NIANA is intentionally a small business. We do not believe in endless styles or mass production. Instead, we narrowed our focus to what truly matters. Through extensive research, we identified few essential pairs that cover everyday needs and built a capsule collection around them. Fewer shoes, perfected.
In the early days, NIANA was built late at night and on weekends, alongside regular day jobs. What began as a vision slowly took shape through persistence, patience, and an uncompromising standard. After months of searching, we found a small, family-owned factory outside of Naples—one that understood our values and our pursuit of precision immediately. Our first creation was the classic loafer: perfected over months of refinement, featuring a perfectly almond-shaped toe and crafted from exceptionally soft leather to deliver unparalleled comfort. It is designed to be the only loafer you will ever need. From there, we introduced a classic boot, built on the same philosophy—timeless, effortless, and suitable for everyday wear.
NIANA is a slow luxury brand. We do not produce in bulk or chase volume. Our shoes are made based on demand, ensuring that each pair remains special and intentional. Sustainability is not a trend for us; it is a responsibility. Coming from an architectural background, the founder believes deeply in building less, but better. Producing only what is needed allows us to reduce waste, limit overproduction, and respect both materials and craftsmanship.
Designed with intention. Made to last.
